Clinical Research Assistant: Daniel Weng
MD Candidate (’21)
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Daniel Weng grew up in New York City and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a B.S. in Biology and Nutrition. Post-graduation, he worked for two years as a Strategic Operations Specialist at First Opinion, a telemedicine startup based in San Francisco. His main responsibilities involved business operations, clinical strategy, market & venture research, and data analysis for executive decision making. After matriculating at Johns Hopkins, Daniel founded the Hopkins Health Innovation and Technology Group (Hopkins HIT) and is a member of the Primary Care Leadership Tract. When he isn’t playing around with Tableau or reading his daily newsletters from Fortune and STAT, he likes playing a variety of sports and funds part of his medical tuition through online and live poker at Horseshoe and Maryland Live (only partially kidding).
