Clinical Research Assistant: Helen Xun

Helen Xun is originally from the Pacific Northwest, and completed her B.S. in Biochemistry at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. During that time, she completed her thesis in anthelmintic drug discovery. Following graduation, she spent time at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a research technologist in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology. Currently, as a medical student at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Helen is interested in how mobile health technologies can change patient care. As a Daniels’ Scholar, Helen explores how interdisciplinary teams can work together to provide patient centered care. For fun, Helen enjoys staying in touch with her Chinese heritage by recreating family recipes, and baking desserts to bring smiles to faces.
